Mogo is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on our Finance Team. We are looking for this individual to be able to think strategically, innovate and accomplish key deliverables with passion to join a rapidly growing and distinctive business. What you'll do:

  • Developing and maintaining the financial models of existing and prospective products.
  • Creating and managing departmental budgets, identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability, cross-functional team financial support, identifying financial risks an opportunities
  • Collaborate with other FP&A team members to maintain forward-looking corporate finance and operating analysis for the company’s revenue and product costs across all departments including the quarterly forecasting process, annual operating budget process and interim financial forecasts
  • Performing financial analysis around sales trends, traffic and growth driver trends, and operating costs
  • Working cross functionally with the senior leadership team; budgeting and planning, management reporting, and financial analytics, and acting as a strategic partner and assisting in business decisions
  • Preparing Board meeting presentation decks and supporting analysis
  • Reviewing, analyzing and providing commentary on weekly, period end and quarter end financial results
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned


What you'll need:

  • University degree in Business with a CPA designation
  • 5-7 years professional work experience in financial analysis, review of P&Ls, and variance analysis. Bonus points for candidates with financial services or technology experience.
  • Strong Excel skills including V-lookups, macros and complex if-statements to build robust and dynamic financial models
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional analytical and decision making skills and the ability to understand issues and communicate appropriate solutions
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to see the big picture while demonstrating strong detail orientation
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and meets strict deadlines
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can operate effectively with little direction and takes initiatives to improve processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels of organization
