Hey you. Yes, you. Got a flair for copywriting and an understanding of how good copy can impact a business? Perfect, because we’re looking for a Copywriter who is a strategic thinker with a talent for conveying compelling stories, has a good sense of humor, and uses language creatively and freely (meaning you break the grammar rules, but only because you know them well enough and are confident enough to know when and how to break them).

You must be able to transform purely descriptive, sometimes not-so-interesting text about financial products into concise copy that’s both fun to read and easily accessible to a wide audience. Flexibility to write across platforms is also key: print ads, digital ads, website copy, app copy…oh, and having a bit of edge in your writing voice will definitely help.

If you want to be part of an amazing growing team and the thought of helping us grow our business and influencing key decisions excites you, come chat with us. We’re a young company offering a steep learning curve and a ton of learning and experience along the way. Bonus: being a highly intelligent self-starter with a positive ‘get-it-done’ attitude, along with an itch for a chance to show what you can do—bring that along too, we love that.

What you'll do:

  • Conceptualize, write, and edit engaging content for a variety of platforms including web and mobile, as well as longer-form content, press releases, emails, newsletter and advertising material
  • Gather internal information through effective communication (you’ll be talking to people!) with various teams and senior management, and translate into effective copy
  • Explain financial content to a non-financial audience in a compelling way
  • Refine and execute standards for brand voice and tone
  • Provide insightful perspective on trends, innovations, and competitive landscape to assist in creating marketing campaigns
  • Assist with internal communications and work in conjunction with communications manager and HR

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of writing experience for a consumer brand or brand-oriented agency, as well as digital media experience
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate financial concepts in simple terms
  • Innately curious and creative, with a desire to embrace a steep learning curve
  • A unique writing style—and by unique we mean you’ll be able to set our brand voice apart from the banks through your writing
  • Uncanny ability to ‘nail it’ on the first take
