Manager, FP&A
Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Base Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 CAD
Location: Vancouver, BC - Hybrid
Orion Digital Corp. (previously Mogo) is seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Manager, FP&A to lead forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis across our Lending, Wealth, and Payments business lines.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is a high-visibility role within a dual-listed (TSX & NASDAQ) fintech organization. You will play a key role in supporting executive decision-making, participating in C-suite discussions, and strengthening the structure, scalability, and modernization of our FP&A processes - including thoughtful use of automation and AI-enabled workflows.
As a public company, our Finance team operates in structured quarterly reporting cycles that require precision, accountability, and occasional intensity during earnings and board periods.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working at both granular and strategic levels, and is motivated to build disciplined, scalable financial models while contributing to a high-performing finance function.
What You’ll Do
Forecasting & Planning
- Lead day-to-day budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple business lines.
- Develop and enhance driver-based financial models that improve clarity, transparency, and scalability.
- Maintain a deep understanding of revenue drivers, unit economics, operating expenses, and cash flow.
- Build scenario models and sensitivity analyses to support strategic planning and capital allocation discussions.
Executive & C-Suite Exposure
- Prepare clear, executive-ready reporting packages, dashboards, and summaries.
- Participate in C-suite and senior leadership meetings, presenting financial insights and analysis in partnership with the Director of Finance.
- Support quarterly earnings, board cycles, and other public reporting deliverables with high-quality, timely analysis.
- Translate complex financial data into concise, decision-oriented insights.
Modernization, Automation & AI
- Improve model structure and documentation to reduce manual rebuilds and strengthen version control.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analytical workflows.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance forecasting efficiency, analytical depth, and insight generation.
- Partner with Business Intelligence, Credit Risk, and Accounting teams to improve data integrity and reporting alignment.
Performance & Profitability Analytics
- Own analysis of customer LTV, payback, and product-level profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost discipline, revenue optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Support development of business cases for new initiatives and investments.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Marketing, Credit Risk, Operations, HR, and Accounting to align financial insights with operational strategy.
- Strengthen alignment between accounting outputs and FP&A reporting frameworks in preparation for future SOX readiness.
- Contribute to a culture of rigor, clarity, and accountability within the Finance team.
What You’ll Bring
- 5-8 years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or business strategy experience.
- Experience in fintech, consumer lending, financial services, or other high-growth, data-driven environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design and improve financial models - not just maintain them.
- Practical interest in leveraging automation and AI to enhance forecasting and analytical workflows.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-division organizations.
- Strong executive communication skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Operational rigor and strong prioritization skills in environments with defined reporting cycles and shifting priorities.
- Expert-level Excel proficiency; experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), SQL, or FP&A systems is an asset.
- Comfort operating in a responsive, high-accountability environment, including heightened collaboration during earnings and reporting periods.
What Success Looks Like in 12 Months
- Forecasting processes are more structured, reliable, and scalable.
- Financial models are modular and less dependent on manual rebuilds.
- Reporting cycles run with discipline and predictability.
- Executive reporting is clearer, faster, and more forward-looking.
- Automation and AI tools are thoughtfully integrated into recurring workflows.
- FP&A is viewed as a proactive and trusted business partner.
