What You’ll Own
- Preparation and review of journal entries supporting the monthly and quarterly close processes
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of reconciling items
- Oversight and coordination of accounts payable processes and vendor payment workflows
- Support for revenue accounting processes, including reconciliation and tracking of wealth-related revenue streams
- Support for financial reporting packages and supporting schedules across monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Participation in consolidation processes across multiple entities
- Accounting support across complex areas including loans, financial instruments, leases, accruals, and fund-related reconciliations
- Preparation and review of operational and statutory financial statements
- Preparation of audit schedules and support for external audit requests
- Documentation and improvement of accounting processes and controls
- Investigation and resolution of accounting discrepancies identified during close
- Coordination with FP&A and operational teams to ensure accounting outputs accurately reflect business activity
- Ongoing process improvement across NetSuite, reconciliations, AP workflows, and financial reporting processes
What You Bring
- CPA designation or near completion
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Big 4 or mid-tier public practice background preferred
- Strong IFRS foundation and understanding of financial reporting principles
- Experience supporting operational accounting functions such as AP, revenue accounting, or financial statement preparation is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation mindset
- Ability to investigate accounting issues independently and work through ambiguity
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, execution-focused role
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communication skills and ability to explain accounting issues logically and concisely
- Interest in improving processes and leveraging automation/AI tools to reduce manual work

- Close process becomes more reliable and organized across assigned areas
- Reconciliations are timely, accurate, and well-supported
- AP and wealth-related operational finance processes run efficiently and accurately

- Manual work is reduced through process improvements and automation initiatives
Compensation
- Base Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 CAD (flexible based on experience)
